Rolesville Lightning Track Club
Our desire is to teach every athlete an appreciation for track and field and a healthy lifestyle, while enhancing their self-confidence and descipline through consistent practice, guidance, and an opportunity for competition.
Although our track club is newly developed, the association is not. Coach Hillary Leacock is Rolesville Lightning’s head coach. He has over 25 years of experience both as an athlete and a Youth Track and Field Coach. Coach Leacock specializes in the sprints, long jump, high jump, proper form and technique and general conditioning.
Coach Leacock attended North Carolina State University and represented his country of Trinidad and Tobago on an international level. Under his leadership are several coaches with strong history and experience in track and field that are excited to be able to extend their knowledge to and help our young athletes reach their full potential.

How We Train
FOCUSed Programs
We believe the whole body must be healthy to perform well, and coach our athletes accordingly. We avoid athlete injury by employing warm-up and mobility routines at every practice, ensuring proper form is adhered to by every athlete, and performing proper cool-downs at every practice. Our coaches are certified in sports nutrition, injury prevention, and have the knowledge and experience to get your athlete into peak condition for national-level competition.
Warm-Ups & Stretching
Every practice begins with warm-ups and stretching, led by our coaches.
